Quite freaky. AI generated faces, new one each time you refresh. The Daily Mail called it creepy, but goes into some interesting detail as to how it works.
Nvidia researchers built an algorithm using a neural network called General Adversarial Networks (GAN) that's able to create customized and realistic looking faces.
GANs are able to learn from large sets of data to look for patterns and produce new data.
They supplied it with 7,000 images of human faces from Flickr. It learned by starting with low-resolution images and recognizing more and more details as the resolution of each image increases
This girl's head went a bit cracky (Even children! But are they children, if they don't exist?)

Makes you think
Yay. Loads of virtual children to go on strike for the environment!
A gift for the identity thieves and fake internet profile scammers of the world.
Fake news!
Deep fake news!
scary
Surely if they are random then at some point they will produce the face of someone that does exist.
Does it use faces harvested from the #10yearchallenge? 😉
