When Scotland colonised England, placing our king James VIth on their throne, he graciously took the title James Ist to soften the blow a little- Scotland, quite rightly, considering it unimportant and a simple way to please the provincial english. This tradition continues to the present day.

Can you imagine if the flotilla was arranged by the Olympic people? The whole Thames would be boarded off. You would have had to go into a lottery for tickets ,been ripped off ,got there and found that you only had a ticket to look at the Thames,you needed a super elite 'see the queen ticket' which was being held back for the execs of coke and farking McDonald's . Then when it was all over they would have flogged off the river for development.
