I know it's been done before regarding not prosecuting him at the time, but jebus, someone throw the book at this moron:

What a complete and utter selfish ****.
I had total sympathy for the guy, including during the enquiry.
This news changes that.
I hope he gets the absolute top end of the sentencing guidelines for this and I hope it involves some time in prison.
What an utter ****.
It's his legal team that needs stringing up by the knackers - seemed fairly clear that he was a recidivist tossrag relying on "clever" advice, including and especially during the inquiry
I blame the original judges for not giving both sides a slap and letting the dishonest killing blighter off
Really? Most of his driving record was plastered all over the papers here. Was fairly clear that he was a deliberately dodgy chancer and it'd just been a matter of time before he caused a major incident.I had total sympathy for the guy, including during the enquiry.
Were there reporting restrictions on the case in the UK?
I remember, years ago, a dodgy friend-of-a-friend saying everyone should spend a year driving illegally. He lacked license, MoT and insurance at the time, and said it taught him to be really careful, not attracting attention and avoiding any chance of being hit by someone else.
Whereas this chap clearly didn't GAS.
He also must be phenomenally stupid not to realise how quickly he'd be reported if seen behind the wheel, given the background. Local police probably didn't need a report, just waiting for him.
Clearly a self-centred cockweasle who doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself. This should result in an automatic prison sentence, because it appears nothing else will stop the bastard getting behind the wheel of a vehicle.
