We all know that STW can answer everything, so here's a challenge.
We use ThinkManagement at work to roll out prebuilt Windows images to our laptops and desktops. As far as I can tell it's just a Lenovo branded version of LANDesk. Machines to be imaged PXE boot, you authenticate, select your image from a menu and answer 'yes' and away it goes.
It was set up and maintained by someone who's now left the company, no-one else here knows much about it. I want to get to grips with it primarily to update our standard build with the latest versions of software, OS patches etc.
The problem I have it that it's a massive suite of software that I'm finding pretty impenetrable. There must be fifty separate tools in it, and image building seems to be a convoluted process of tying various scripts together. It looks to be very powerful and very flexible, but as a result of that it's also really complex.
So, does anyone have any experience of this and can give me a few "getting started" pointers, or recommend anything online to read that isn't a user guide the size of a telephone directory?
