I've just given a lost and/or knackered racing pigeon some lunch.

Took ours and the neighbours brown (garden waste) bins to the tip in the van as the council won't collect them for another 4 weeks at least.

Sat waiting for the garage to call me. Was meant to be walking over the Long Mynd, but my car developed a brake fault within a couple of minutes of setting off

Waiting for a pre-planning planning meeting to start

Cutting out my own appendix with a rusty spoon….. would be preferable given the past couple of week's performance of some of the numpties that will be on this call

Let's hope that's a euphemism.

Spend the day travelling from Spain to France in my PJs as Mrs Pants packed the clothes I left out to change into away and it would have been a 1h 30 unpack and repack to get them. Apparently it was my fault for not taking them out of the tent.

No. It was a disco for fish.

I didn't expect to be aching quite so much. Legs, shoulder, wrists - 2 days at BPW is quite hard on an old geezers body. Feels nice to have done it though.

Explaining to my mother that cyclists aren't going to mow her down while she's walking along the Goyt valley (near Buxton). A stretch of road is always shut to vehicles on a Sunday, so used by many cyclists, either to train or just pootle along and enjoy the gorgeous surroundings.

W@nking over a picture of Gloria Hunnyford in a string vest (her, not me).

I genuinely did not expect to be doing that.

Wondering how to ask STW positively if I'm having a mid life crisis, without piling on the depression of how I'm feeling about work/life which is probably a mid life crisis.

Thinking about hot air balloon flight paths.

And being bored enough to google the regulations governing them 🙂

Assembling a metal bed frame, preventing me from looking at the dark clouds, wondering if it's going to rain and if not where to ride to... So doing the latter now.

The whole thing's shut at the moment isn't it, to walkers and everyone?

And I'll admit I'm guilty of riding the wrong way down the one-way section at the top end, no-one seemed to care apart from some old duffer on an antique motorbike who gave me a disappointed shake of the head.

Have a argument* with someone about face masks, in a GP surgery.

* not really an argument, more a set of instructions about what to do if they don't want to have wear a mask.

Seriously? still?

Fitting new wheels to my van. I thought the tyre shop would be the perfect people for the job, after all they fitted the tyres to the wheels.

Apparently company policy not to fit new wheels “incase they don’t fit properly”

They did fit properly, obviously, because I bought the right ones.

(Yes, I know. Shouldn’t have gone to KwikFit 🙄)

Sitting on my arse all day instead of getting the grass cut etc. As I did yesterday and the day before as my chronic fatigue symptoms have returned this week.
Disappointed!!

Wishing I hadn't read about Gloria Hunniford in a string vest. That image isn't going away anytime soon unfortunately. Wish I could drink

Breaking my all time step record and riding a Boris bike past Big Ben. How good are the central London bike lanes, couldn't get over the number of cyclists jumping the cycle red lights though. I now understand why certain people assume we could all cycle everywhere, if we all had this level of infrastructure it might actually be a reality.

Being vomited on ~15 times by a two year old with a tummy bug and thus not subsequently driving to FIL's for 70th birthday celebrations over the weekend.  Cue a very sad wife.

I cut the hedge.
Wasn't planning to, and was contemplating getting my mum's gardener to pop over and do all the work for me, but in the end decided I should do it myself, after all its what I bought the cordless stihl hedge cutters for.

Thats the problem with buying things like that. Great idea at the time, a fancy new toy to play with but when it actually comes down to doing the actual work its made for ...er...um...

Cautiously celebrating having probably* passed an accreditation that at 5pm yesterday I was 99.9% sure we'd failed, the culmination of the past 18 months of my working life potentially having gone to shit due to one issue totally out of my control.

* Won't get the official results until late on Monday, but the assessor indicated a pass by email this afternoon.

Taking the pump off the bottom of the washing machine because a face mask had got into the drum and blocked the out flow.
