So I glanced at another thread where there seemed to be some consensus that we never reach consensus here, after someone suggesting that a controversial topic might be worth discussion so we could all air our views and end up agreeing.

What things have we managed to agree on?

Disc brakes are best for mountain bikes I think we have agreement on.

Bombers are the best weapon for defending one's home and family.

Er, Hitler was bad?

Anything else?

Hitler was just misunderstood and with all the press against him it's hardly fair 😉

At one point I think we all agreed it was 2018 (well within the margin of error)

Cats are not compatible with Sudocrem.

Arses are not compatible with Picolax.

Inexplicably damp shoes should be regarded with suspicion.

Anyway I think I have one that I can get broad agreement on:

We like arguing

Say what you like about the tenets of national socialism, at least it's an ethos.

I think we've got pretty close to agreeing that 96 BCD can **** off. And that news stories in all caps are pretty pathetic

How can you say that? You couldn't be more wrong....

Edit: We can also agree that two people will always make the same obvious joke within seconds of each other and that one of them will look like a diddy because they were 6 seconds too slow.

Dog poo is bad.

Bikes are good.

£500 +VAT is a more difficult number to arrive at than you would assume.

Badgers are not very good at tubeless.

A Volvo is always for sale.

Silent clutch hubs are not always for sale.

Whatever it is, it always costs £500+vat.

TJ does not know when to step away.

We can agree that if anyone that asks about possibly reducing the weight of their bike they will be assured that having a poo before they ride will provide better results.

Postie Rich is a double hard bastard, cycling 80 miles offroad over mountainous terrain to bivi in sub zero conditions.

Cotic bikes are generally awesome.

The Peak District is named after a tribe of people rather that the fact it is a district full of peaks.

In fairness sometimes I don't find myself able to poo on demand and planning ride's around my poo's can also be problematic. I also don't always pass stools of the same size, I find eating the same diet everyday to ensure consistency a bit of a bind, so I'm not sure my poo's always provide maximum weight saving potential. If only there was an alternative?

Capitalism is bad and inherently flawed.

Wood burners are bad your health and the environment.

Cycle helmets should be compulsory.

You only need one bike.

Some wheel sizes are betterer.

Steel is real.

Brad and Froomey are British.
