Got a weekend away in a week or two in Bournemouth. Recommendations of things to do during the day and a good quality (but inexpensive) dining establishment.

take your bike, go across the chain ferry from poole to purbecks via sandbanks and studland. nice beaches and cafes at studland on the way back.
Dont think the wife would like being left alone in Bournemouth.. 😀

Head over to Poole and take a Brownsea island tour, or Sea safari on a rib. Learn to kite surf, go sea swimming. Head to Sandbanks and marvel at the cost of property round there!

I'm from Bournemouth. I would say leave Bournemouth. Go to studland, Langton matravers etc
Chimmy changas was good grub at the weekend. Smoking aces whiskey bar was cool as well.
