Package holidays to the Moon - though not sure what you'd do once your there - I guess it could be great for fat bikes.

Good call because in space nobody can hear them drone on and on and on.
Though it would probably be via easyjet and The Moon* is actually 45km outside Barcelona

Automated letterboxes that instantly shred HMRC letters/Double Glazing flyers/I've lost my dog, have you seen him flyers/letters from Your Mum/Electricity bills/Charles Thurwitt shirt brochures/local tennis club "come join us" flyers/Harry Your Favourite Gardener is in your area flyers..

All a pile of crap that ought to be recycled direct out of the sorting office or never printed al all in the first place.

In the 50s and 60s we were all being told that the technological revolution would mean something like a 3 day work week and 6 hour days.

Silver jumpsuits.

Every picture of the future in the 1970's had people wearing silver jumpsuits

I want my silver jumpsuit.

Dogs that will actually live the lifespan of the owner.
Trousers that don't wear out at the downstairs area
Bread that doesn't send out smoke signals when toasted
Vegan cheese that actually melts and tastes nice
A bicycle saddle that won't put your 'moo moo' in traction.
Socks that stay up
Knickers that stay up
Translation machine for animals
Running tops that won't grate your nipples

A friend of mine had an 'IT Trainee' in her office back in the late 90s who was tasked with faxing out a press release to a couple of dozen numbers. Noticing the trainee was feeding the document in repeatedly and dialling she thought she'd help by pointing out that the document could be scanned once and then all the numbers entered in one go.

"its not working though - I'm still trying to send it to the first number on the list but the paper goes in then just comes straight back" - next to her was a pile of photocopies - she'd made each recipient their own copy.

Well I lost a bit of time reading that. Didn't like the bit about brain theory and data theory, as it seemingly fails to realise that data in the brain and the physical structure of the brain are inseperable, you can't take the 'data' out of someones brain and upload it to another without changing it's architecture - its a physical collection of neurons and connections.

..and central locking for my house.

More than once I've stood outside the house swearing at the door with the car beeper in my hand.
