Tried a cuppa soup today. Brought back fond memories as a lad sailing with my dad in winter.

Tasted disgusting then and would seem has not improved one jot.

What have you tried recently that you wish you hadn't bothered with?

Coffee. Was desperate for a wake-up last weekend so made myself the first coffee I've had in about 35 years. It was as grim as I remember. (But woke me up!)

I often get sucked in by the supermarket packaging that suggest the innards taste better than something you make yourself...very clever.like a garlic and lemon chicken Kiev from tescos finest range(fancy black packaging with a sumptuous picture of said chicken breast looking ace) had it last night, could have been chicken...all the garlick lemony goodness evaporated....I'm going to try and remember next time I'm shopping

I've had a craving for a Pop Tart (no s****ing!) just lately.

I suspect it'll be crap, but I've not had one for about 20 years and I want one...

overbiked - I know what you mean.

Those "Charlie Bigham" ready meals they sell in Waitrose. Occasionally I have bought when I see a special offer or a reduction. They are the ones with the pretentious cartoons on the front and lavish descriptions of what's inside. They taste just as crappy and synthetic as any other prepared crap from Tesco and stuff.

Cider. You can rebrand it all you like but it's still sweet muck.

The heating in my office, it ranges from hotter than the devils festering arsehole to colder than my ex girlfriends heart...most often on the same day.

But we now have some sparkly Christmas lights so that should make it better, or give me epilepsy if they keep flashing in my peripheral vision.

Cuppasoup is ACE, Fact.

I use it all the time when windsurfing or cold weather riding. Left in a flask whilst enjoying myself and come back to warm tasty goodness.
Ok, so you have to pick the right brand but it's scrummy.

Wiminz, they never improve 😆

Budget house paint.

KFC is the food of the gods (although I only have it once a year so maybe it's the expectation).

Pot noodle. I actually think it's got worse if that is possible. KFC is hit and miss, the 100% chinese staff turn over often and they dont all know how long to cook chicken.

Cats.

You get one, you think it will be a friend, a companion. But then it turns out that despite all thelove and generos ity you show it, it wishes you would simply die and leave a huge pile of salmon where your body was

"Dental work." - are you having a laugh ?

I went to school in the early 60s, small Scottish island, the school dentist visited every of often, in the 'good old days' when professionals were never allowed to be questioned, there were kids lying unconcious/moaning for mum with their heads etc being held by teachers in the corridor as they'd got too much gas and others screaming as they didn't have enough, and it was acceptable for a dentist to pull a tooth out by putting his foot on the childs chest to get leverage.

Donner kebabs

If kebabs are not improving for you then you need to drink more. I always found a direct correlation between how much I drank, and how good a kebab would taste.

KFC is rank. Went in one end came out the same end.

edit: it's certainly something with room for improvement. It can't actually get any worse.

Snakebite and black. Tried to recreate the nectar of my youth with Stella, Strongbow and Ribena, and that sh!t just does not work.

Cider (on it's own), KFC, Pot Noodle, pork scratchings and chinese food are all fantastic: fact.
