Losing weight is top mid-term aim on the list of course, but I've always had, shall we say, stocky thighs which generate heat and friction. Ahem. Used all manner of topical applications with varying success - sudocrem forms more friction which sets the weals alight until crying ensues, tiger balm an uber-buddhist trial of a thousand flaming arrows, talc is good initially yet soon turns to groin-paste. Savlon is ok overnight yet still encourages a damp environment.

Recently discovered nappy rash spray. Hallelujah.

It doesn't sound manly - is the only downside. But then again neither does talc-ing yr parts.

thinner-nosed saddle ?

sudocrem's best for after the ride I think, though I have used it during before now

or possibly:

Is it just whilst riding?

If you wear Lycra shorts under your baggies (assumign you wear baggies) try thicker Lycra - it'll stop the seams on the baggies rubbing your skin so much.

You can get unpadded knee length lycra shorts for running - maybe try those instead of boxers for a bit - again they'll stop your trousers chaffing already sore skin.

seems to be created by walking, which spoils riding as once its flared up any movement makes it worse, already use thinnish seats (Madison Flux/Charge spoon). Penicillin? Pretty sure it's just a friction/heat thing, not anything narsty, it only happens in the warm weather, but for me this time of year is toasty. think the lycra undershorts thing is a great idea, have something similar, some lidl cycling undershorts in some kind of coolmax material. i just need to cycle and swim everywhere. A natural biathlete...

The spray seems awesome btw, recommended. Will check out Bodyglide, sounds like a risque lube but can it be any worse than asking for "nappy rash spray" 😳

Try some longer legged slightly tighter fitting under wear that grips your legs but slides against other material.

This might help getting the friction off the skin.

🙂

Nothing especially risque, it's pretty similar to a stick deodorant, and it doesn't stain clothing (if that's an issue).

My suggestion when reading the title was immediately nappy rash cream. 🙂

What is that about? Did I miss the birth of a new STW meme somewhere?

although the unexplained link to the autism thread rather spoilt it for me, tbh.

You're sure you haven't got a bit of a fungal thing going on? Kind of Athlete's Crotch?

I got something similar after a fairly mangy climbing trip once, bit of Daktarin sorted it out in a jiffy.

no fungus! done the canestan, time to invest in long underskegs. Banana and soreen might help with night cramps, tho usually take by mouth on midnight fridge raids
