Today was unseasonably lovely near me (manchester) so I headed out into the cheshire countryside. It was glorious and reminded me how nice it is to be on the bike in nice weather, rather than trudging through mud, wind and rain.
unfortunately sunshine = overexuberance = broken seatpost.
Ah well, it was worth it!
Nothing rarer either.
I thought the same yesterday until I hit a pot hole and parted company with my bike, but not before catching my inner thigh on the water bottle or stem.
I now have a slowly developing blue/purple contusion which stings a lot. Anyone got any suggestions for something to put on it to bring out the bruise more quickly
Agreed - this afternoon was a lovely pootle out of Sheffield, round the edge of the Peak and home again - in thermal and shorts 8)
Rode my (unfit) legs off- aching rather a lot at the moment...
I could only gaze at it from 18 miles away (land that is)....... 🙁
I have been office-bound all day but I had a proper mud-fest yesterday and have aching thighs, so I didn't mind too much. My bike is also cleaner now that it has been for ages because I didn't have to rush to clean it off because I was freezing.
I am looking forward to working from home at the end of the week when I can go out for a couple of hours before work. Really excited about that!
how about 'writing on the sole of your slipper with a biro'...
Had a great day myself yesterday, first warm ride of the year. Through Ramsbottom and up to Peel Tower over Holcombe Moor, if anyone knows Lancashire. Was fantastic weather all day and same again today, although shorter ride.
A nip about the hills and lanes around Cardiff last night on the road bike. Road riding is a lot more fun when you're going up and down instead of plodding along the flat at a constant pace...
