Just bored on the train and wonder if anybody else is intrigued by what these people do? Regularly witness people wandering up and down between the coaches, not using toilets or other facilities, just ambling up and down. It’s not even like there’s a lack of seating.
Who are they, undercover transport police looking for ne’er do wells, spies tracking a mark or just very fidgety people? 🤔
If you get on at the back and walk to the front you get there faster.
I like walking towards the front when moving as if you look out the window it feels like you're a superhero. That one that walks well fast.
Avoiding ticket inspectors?

Stop wondering and go for a wander
I remember wondering the same about a bunch of 'lads' many years ago - how long ago will become apparent in a sec. They kept wandering down through the train and back again, and getting more excited each time, until eventually someone asked why. It was because Melinda Messenger was sitting at a few carriages further up.

I hope that this is the reason and I’ll be trying it out!
Could be short platform anxiety?
Melinda Messenger
When she was famous, I remember someone at my church pointing out that one of the young teenagers looked vaguely like her, once that idea is in there it was the only thing I could think of whenever i saw the young lass.
It cracked me up for a few months.

They're looking for their next victim.

I quite like doing the opposite as it pull out of a station. Start walking in the opposite direction so from the platform it looks like you’re not moving. Even better catch someone’s eye on the platform at the same time.
I’m answer to the actual question, I’m assuming it’s the same people on flights who wander up and down the aisle or peer out of the tiny window on the door.

My FIL has a full exercise routine to do on flights to stave off the risk of DVT. He's there, standing in the aisle or space by the door, doing squats with his arms out etc.
Perhaps they're like him?
