We are staying at the Lewinnick Lodge near Newquay. Great people,  food and a monumental view from our room.

Where else in the UK should we go?

Well, may I ask what you expected to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically...?

FFS 😉

Not UK but I've just spent four nights in the Crowne Plaza in Limassol and for the first time in 31 years of export travel I was a teeny weeny bit sorry to leave the hotel; the staff were lovely and really professional and it was great having the window open and the sound of surf 50 yards away, not city traffic and constant sirens.

Hilton Queensferry has a rather unusual take on a sea view.
Some rooms you can see all three bridges.

That pic from South Sands...

There something in that picture, in the distance, that makes me very happy.

They have, they've taken away to link pic only.. but happily send you to the website instead.. which is shit if you just want to post a pic.

But I guess the owners of those websites who complained will now be hitting "massive" spikes in traffic visits..

(to still nick the pic)

We’ve just spent a few nights at Watergate Bay hotel in Cornwall. Beautiful hotel. Our room had a roll top bath in the massive bay window overlooking the beach. Highly recommended

Lewinnick has one of the best cream teas imo. Always A good choice of ales.
The Beach hotel in Bude has a fab view too.

Rua Reidh, Gairloch, Scotland

Seems it is has now been sold. The previous owners had a reputation for claiming the road was private, and trying to stop anyone walking or cycling along there. Including illegal signs, fences and gates, and shouting abuse at anyone who passed by.

Years since I actually stayed there (probably 2003) and figured it was the same chilled out spot it was back then. Not sure what the current owners are like but I guess they're not confrontational like the previous lot as the whole thing seems to have died down. As an aside the beach at Camas Mor east of the lighthouse is amazing.
