Has anyone cycled on this route, is it possible to cycle the entire ring of approx 74 miles?

umm just been on a canal boat between Kinver and Tardebigge this weekend.... I know you can get to Stourport to Kinver fine too. Brum to Worcester gets tricky as there 3 tunnels with no tow path, but I believe you can navigate over, though not necessarily cycle over some of the fields easily. The tow path, when it re-appeared, also degenerated quite badly after Wast Hill tunnel to tardebigge. I know there canal path from Tardebigge to Droitwich is excellent, and imagine it fine but don't know from personal experience how it continues down to Worcester. You can get down the Severn on a bike cheekily further up from Stourport but again I don't have personal experience of Stourport/Worcester.

I'm sure the was a thread the other day about these canals.. will have a search.

Thinking about it, where is the tunnel that you need lights to cycle through?

Done Wor to Brum a few times now, its more intresting than you first expect 😉

If you can get Worcester/Brum fine, then Brum to Stourport is a piece of the proverbial, it's just getting between Stourport and Worcester than needs confirming....

2768 meters (1.7 miles)... try it with a quite tired (worrying reliability) canal boat with little or no silencer...

Amazon has some older copies of Pearsons Guide to the Stourport Ring (couldn't set up a clicky)
Aimed at boaters, every map page has a description of the state of the towpath. maybe a bit spendy for what you're after though.

Did a circuit in/out if Bham with some workmates few months back. Biggest pain were those bollards to stop motorbikes. Should be fine in the sticks though.

I've got to Wolverhampton and Stourbridge from Kidderminster and from Worcester to near the Bromgrove/Redditch highway (Tarbigge?) but never joined them up.

Each to their own but 74 miles of towpath sounds hideous!

Bromsgrove to worcester i have done before.. Just hope its not too muddy as that towpath gets a little boggy after a good downpour, and as said by z1ppy some of the tunnels need to benavigated by going over the hill on a track rather than through the tunnel. I quite regularly rip down the towpaths from Stourbridge to Kinver. In fact i am off down there now heading towards Kingswinford.

A bit muddy on the old towpaths tonight, and I got left for dust by some Stourbridge Cycling Club Roadies, bad times.
