Anybody else seen the current tour and had concerns about the performance? We saw them on Saturday and as always it was a spectacular show. The sound was really crisp, the best I've ever heard at a big concert but... at several moments while I was enjoying the music I kind of froze because they seemed to have lost the beat. I don't know whether it was due to echo effects within the massive stadium (there are inflatable sound baffles that hang from the roof) or just because the poor old fellas are getting so old. The Keith Richards interlude mid-concert was an embarrassment and his two numbers only got polite applause. Mick Jagger is amazing for any musician let along one aged 74 and he always looks superb on stage with his costume changes.

But they ought to retire now before something really embarrassing happens on stage like a catheter coming disconnected or someone dropping dead.

I thought they were well past it in 1982 when I saw them at St.James Park, Newcastle & Roundhay Park in Leeds ..support from J.Geils Band & Joe Jackson ..
Never been a huge fan ..which is surprising as I'm a huge classic rock fan ..( went with the then missus who was )

I saw them last year in Havana and I was amazed at how fit they were - active for over 2 hours non-stop. Tribute to the preserving power of strong chemicals.

It's poor old Charlie I feel sorry for.

I watched a bit of their last Hyde Park gig on the telly box and I thought, apart from him not being able to syncopate the high hat any more, I thought his limbs were about to seize up...

The "Tommy Cooper" option looms.

I saw them 10 years ago very glad I did they where outstanding. Not sure I’d pay today’s ticket prices to do so again
