Has anyone found one?
The little ****ers are blowing all the time. Â I wanted to go LED but our lights have dimmer switches and that requires replacing the switches to ones Mrs K doesn't like and doesn't match our decor...
G9's - crap.
I struggle with G9's too and went to replace with LED's. One light fitting took them fine and have lasted well so far, another light fitting wouldn't take them at all...I believe due to the load or something, so you success with LED alternatives might be limited.
Change Mrs K to one that doesn't care about the decor....
Dimable LED G9's from screwfix - they are great - except the one old G9 I can't get out of the fitting. Pliers probably aren't the best tool.

There's nothing quite like using pliers to remove the base of a broken bulb to remind you that the light is still turned on...
Ah Screwfix! Id forgetten about Screwfix - need 40w equivalent so those will do fine, thanks TiRed.
Its easy to forget in the world of Amazon how good Screwfix are. Â Â Picked up 10 LED's at 8am, 2 left as spares now I've been around the house, and only 90% of the entry bills to look forward to as long as they last!
Thanks for the recommendations.
Hmmm, we've got G9 halogens in our dining room & a dimmer.
It looks like if I buy those Screwfix LED bulbs, I will also need to buy a new dimmer switch - trailing edge dimmer according to the Q&A on that product.
We currently just have a 'standard' dimmer for normal incandescent bulbs, which I don't think will work.
We have the same in our living room & LED bulbs don't play ball.
