If the first episode shows him taking off in a skydiving plane with no parachutes on board, then I'm in. Please say it's that!

If the rumours about the number of children he’s spawned are true, then yes - clearly too many times.

I'm watching the documentary about the Titan sub on channel 5 right now.

Similar subject matter really.

Not really.

Fewer women went down on the Titanic.

Was there a rise?

I know we’re all trying to forget… but he did rise to the highest political position in the UK.

Not watching this. Feels like I’ve sat through it before.

Wife has recorded it. I think I'll give it a miss, I'm due at the health centre on Fri morning for a blood pressure check, and I dont want to compromise that unnecessarily.

Was there a rise?

It was never his.

Clown like him will fall forever into the bottomless pit.

Watched it. Nothing new but reasonably interesting. Him and Cameron were not best mates.

Cameron will fall again if he bet on the wrong horse.

That seems to be a question most of them can't answer. Arcurri at least seemed honest about it.

i’ve recorded it but will have to weigh up the likelihood of me kicking the telly in if I watch it

I think it’s a little too early for this. I have a horrible feeling we’re not done with him just yet

Also, his ‘fall’ seems to have involved a soft landing into a huge vat of money

Him and Cameron were not best mates.

They loath each other. There whole over-privileged lives have been one long pissing competition with the country as the urinal

The first episode was interesting in that you got a look at him before he was in any real position of power. I think it is easy to forget how far his charisma was taking him & how popular the anti-politician facade made him. It wasn’t until he displayed his incompetence & cynical populist tendencies that it really went tits up.
It was also strange to be reminded of the sheer dysfunction of his family life as a child, I still don’t really understand where all the family money comes from.

Very much so - thete seemed to be a jump from "refugee/immigrant" grandfather, to owning a run down farm to going to Eton that I either didn’t follow or just wasn't covered.

Easy to forget how pro-Europe his dad was, which may explain a lot

Used to quite like the Bozo act on HIGNFY but it has very much worn thin these days.   Can we not all just forget about him now he's done his bit for the country?

Never heard it confirmed by an insider before, but they really didn’t expect to win the referendum and really didn't have a plan.

Stupidly perhaps I dipped my toe in this, only to find

a) he, gove and Cameron have been patting each other on the back for elitist power since Uni days and b) he never wanted to win Brexit, he just wanted to piss off Cameron who’d demoted Gove.

And here we are, living the painful outcome of his folly.   What a ****

his plan was to be tory leader. If we had remained in the EU, when Dave stood down no-one who had campaigned for remain would have stood a chance or else they would face all the infighting over again. By backing leave he’d done enough to show his anti foreigner stance.

The morning after their great victory. Do they look like two people who’ve just got what they really wanted?

That’s the faces of two people with only one thought in their mind… “oh shit!”

They were meant to gloriously lose, then the headbangers rebel, Dave gets booted out, in strolls the nutters hero, Boris, with Gove appointment as chancellor

Job jobbed!

The total shitshow of the last 8 years has been the result of the unintended consequences those pair of scheming, opportunistic *s didn’t have the brains to envisage

As for a plan? Not even scrawled on the back of a *ing fag packet after last orders.

He didn’t believe in Brexit. I don’t think he has a single belief other than in himself and his own advancement

A complete sociopath

Channel 4 at its worst.Four and a half hours of apologist bullshit with various Tory boris zealots trying to rewrite the recent past and their part in it to try and save whatever shit arse legacy they had. Whilst childhood trauma is horrific, it doesn’t necessarily define the person for life. 4 hours of rise half an hour of fall. Don’t waste your time

Yeah I thought it was very... Let's just say 'sympathetic' towards him.

If I recall correctly there's a bbc/iplayer documentary covering the specimen in question a year or two ago that's not quite so forgiving.

Very disappointing from C4.

It’s about his time as foreign secretary and is absolutely damning. He’s portrayed as absolutely what he is…. a complete and utter buffoon

I’m presently subjecting myself to the first episode. My blood pressure is riding already. I can’t believe anyone was ever taken in by him. The fact that some people still are is utterly mystifying

If anyone's interested, here's a Jeremy Vine (love him or loath him) article from 2019 about his previous encounters with Johnson.

It's wrong to think Johnson is stupid.. he's actually quite smart... but it does expose what a total narcissistic sociopath he really is.

Or you could have Hislops assessment.   When asked if Johnson was a clever man pretending to be a buffoon Hislop said no he is not.  Now Hislop really is smart.

Johnson puts on a good act and has a decent memory for facts but he has zero emotional intelligence indeed he is an emotional cripple with very limited ability to extrapolate or synthesize

Intelligence comes in many forms and Johnson is clearly lacking in many aspects of intelligence.

He is also a psychopath in my judgement.

I think Hislop would make an amazing PM, but you know what they say about the best people for the job...

...they wouldn't want the stress of it! And I can't say I blame them.

Johnson moved into the manor house in the next village last year.

Used to be a lovely little pub for evening rides etc now avoid completely as her's permanently in there propping up the bar. Sadly he's largely welcomed under the 'any celebrity is a novelty' angle.

It's a rich village in S.Oxfordshire, so his fitting in says what you might expect about little England.

he’s permanently in there propping up the bar

So basically being his father and having zero interest in helping bring up the many kids he’s spaffed into the world, thus ensuring the next generation of unloved, dysfunctional, emotionally stunted sociopaths bearing the Johnson name.

I watched the first episode last night. That was more than enough. I won’t be bothering with the rest

I used to think he was a breath of fresh air - until he became London Mayor & then started to realise how poor a human he actually was.

I think they said on The Last Leg when he was on how much of it is all an act - the Boris persona is just a character he plays - the only difference from Borat is he decided not to be an actor.

I did hear a rumour the Tory plan is to lose the upcoming election, then whoever replaces Rishi also fails & along comes Boris to make his triumphant return riding on the back of 2 swans. Did make interesting listening on R2 when Conservative members were massively against any return of him & genuinely sad as to what the party has become.
