I'm finding it a bit of a guilty pleasure , anyone else watching ?
We got watching this on holiday where we could only get BBC 1 and 2, started off thinking this is so fake and i really don't like the guy who wanders around in the leather apron like something out of Lock, Stock....
But, you can't help but be drawn in by the other people doing the repairs, some skilled people and great to see the results.
Never seen Jay done a single thing worth mentioning, but some of the others do amazing repairs .
On the rare occasions I catch it I’ve really enjoyed it, I love watching real craftsmanship taking place, and treasured items restored to the delight of their owners.
Yes, it’s sublime.
I’m a big fan.
Love watching the repairs as i spent 25 happy years in the jewellery trade, but the sentimental drivel overload does grate on the nerves after a while.
I prefer Inventing the Impossible: The Big Life Fix.
The one where the guy creates a prosthetic leg with a reverb dropper post in it so a 12 year old girl can stand on her tiptoes to do ballet was quite good
I really enjoy watching the real crafts people at work, but I can't take Jay seriously In his brand new hipster leather apron and ay up flat cap.
but the sentimental drivel overload does grate on the nerves after a while.
I much prefer Salvage Hunters The Restorers on Quest.
