We have tickets for Brixton next month and the gig is listed as 8pm -3am!! Anyone been before? Will the band finish at 3am or is there some kind of clubby thing that happens after? I'm too old...

CB I throughly understnad (god how old do I feel).. I'd imagine the band will be followed by a DJ set for those young whipper snappers (you can slope off unnoticed)

With late night gigs I've found the best way is to go out drinking from about lunchtime with your mate or mates you're going to the gig with then go back to your hotel for a gentleman's snooze early evening, then head to the gig when you get up. Take both days off work if midweek. You only have 1 life and I'd hazard a guess you don't often go to gigs, you've paid for a ticket, stay till the end, sleep when you're dead!

The Prodigy don't come on to stage until midnight at the earliest. You have the support acts until then.

Jag skills. Always worth a watch. Assuming he'll be 10-12

Probably the best live act I've seen. Saw them in Carlisle in 1991 ish and Glastonbury in 1995.

Unusual to do late night in the week. There will be at least an hour of DJ at the end, maybe more. Expect Prodigy will start some time between 11 and midnight.

take some earplugs as there is a time limit to how long you can stand loud noises until you start getting hearing damage, and you may have to wait a long time to get to the prodigy.

an acquaintance of mine is the sound engineer for their tours and reckons they're as good now as they've ever been live.
The band try to put a lot of effort in to make each show good so you should be in for a cracking night

Work always comes first, or parents and stw'ers moan about education
Prodigy won when they release tickets and the OH bought 2

I saw them in Bridlington a couple of years ago. I was stone cold sober but it was the best gig I've been to.

And some people get there and wish they'd worn earplugs at gigs when they were in transit.

I saw them at Bug Jam in 1993 I think it was. Was offered a pair of cheap tickets to Brixton tonight but I know I would be in a mess tomorrow. South Central supporting tonight, saw them at Fabric a few years ago and they were really good.

Seen them at a few festivals over the years, freaking awesome live.

Spitfire always reminds me of Akrigg after Earthed (3?) which is a nice bonus.

Uhmmm, all seemed a bit dis-jointed to me last night. Maybe just the first date of the tour thing. Still damn good though. Worth the trip from Cheshire!

When I was a youth , I used to burn cali weed in a Rizla a rizla a rizla

Only saw them twice , the first time was round about the above video and the second was a couple of years later . They were good but sadly walked off early both times due to a shite Rezerection sound system. 🙁
