Is this the issue that will sunder the coalition? Or will, could, Cameron shrug off a defeat?

I dont think he will have to resign when the vote is lost and I suppose it something we shall see a fair bit of in coalition politics.

We should have seen this before but the LDs rolled over and let Cameron tickle their belly.
Given Cameron's problems and the LDs current form isn't there a narrowing window of opportunity for Clegg to pull the plug?
