Seems like a very silly idea, not sure it's possible to hold something on the scale of the paralympics with a few day notice.
It's a dilemna alright. If you boycott the games then you make the point that you disprove of the Russian government's actions, but you also deprive all the athletes of the chance to prove themselves at an event that they have probably been preparing for pretty much their whole lives. Tricky!
Politics shouldn't interfere. We need to be engaged with sexyVlad, if he can't see some sense that what he's doing is wrong, what difference will it make if some athletes don't turn up for his games? that won't be the difference in resolving this situation, and will impact only those who've spent years / a lifetime preparing for this next 2 weeks.
If sport wants to make a point, go and do it there - we remember Jesse Owens humiliating Hitler in front of his white aryan friends far more than we'd remember him for not turning up.
