You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Flicking through the Guardian app I'm often surprised at the number of articles that seem aimed primarily at the Australian market.
Why do they not filter these out?
A lot of British people moved there....
I use it regularly can’t say I noticed this at all.
It (I have noticed on the website not the app) shows you articles based on where it thinks you are in the world. Sometimes the technology doesn't get it right.
If you have created an account it would probably let you set a location.
Are you looking at the UK version?
It changes during the day. By about 9:30 the website will mostly be showing UK events. Late evening it veers towards the US.
It’s a global newspaper (like the NY Times and Daily Mail) and has an Australian edition. You’ll often wake up to Australian stories in the most-read list because Australia is half a day ahead of us.

And on the uk accessed site one news story about Pell and one news story about some multi-person stabbing outrage, so maybe an international issue
It’s my fault. I moved to Oz six months ago and spend hours reading it. Sorry.
I was beginning to wonder if Australia was the Costa Del Sol for lefties where we could all go and moan about climate change and racism at home.
Isn't it linked with the Melbourne Age, so I suppose it's just recycling stories on the cheap.
I used to notice this a lot with the app as well.
If you go in to the settings menu then you can change your edition to the UK edition. This seemed to fix the problem for me.
Same on their website, I'd like to be able to filter them all out....
