Monty is a lovely bowler, though - I'm still struggling with his non-selection in Ahmedabad. Yes he lengthens the tail, but that's not really his concern. Yes he needs hiding in the field, but so did Michael Vaughan - again not the crux of issue. But when he gets going, he really gives it a rip and he loops the ball beautifully (not by lobbing it up as he is quite quick through the air for a left-armer), but by 'putting a lot on the ball'.
It seems we might have a series that is dominated by classical left-arm spinners who don't chuck it and batsmen who bat properly (I'll leave Pietersen out of it for the purposes of this post).
How refreshing.
As good as it gets today, KP going mad and the bowlers following it up.
Just hope we can finish the job properly tomorrow. The propensity for collapses isn't far away.
