On top of all the time I have spent visiting hospital since my accident, I had the pleasure of a colonoscopy yesterday, which is in itself unnerving enough.
Never mind the discomfort; the reason I was sent for one was because of a scare. And after the horrible procedure was over, I was told they found a polyp.
Now, I know that could mean a few different things, but we all know what it really means to the person who is told.
Anyway, I was very quiet all last night, and into the morning. Then I got a call from the hospital about my test, only I missed it.
Shit. Of course, the call could only mean that they wanted me in for a polypectomy immediately, right?
Except that it was the nurse calling to say that they had reviewed the images, and decided that it was not a polyp they were concerned with, and that I would receive a letter confirming this in the post.
So instantly, the worry dissipates like smoke. Whew. What a ride.
Good news.
Any funny stories to tell about bowel evacuation prior to the procedure?
Did the bottom drop out of your world, or did the world drop out of your bottom?
Glad you're ok. Been there more than once.
How was the picolax?
