Twas ok,agree with the opinion above of the'Blurg'scene, why??
I would of liked a little more bounty hunting before jumping straight into 'The' Bounty to top all bounty's though,
Junior thought it was great,we look forward to more next week.

I enjoyed that. Felt just enough of a Star Wars - Firefly crossover to make me look forward to its development.
Poor Burt though, left Big bang Theory for that...

Can't say I'm a Star Wars fan, only ever seen the originals and they were just ok, seen none of the new stuff. Gave this a try, was a bit crap. Polished right enough, but crap is still crap. In case if anyone was wondering if they need to be into Star Wars to get into this, I'd say so yes.

I thought it was ok.... just ok. Was hoping it would be a bit "grittier" as the trailer suggested - but it's actually quite disneyfied - I guess they are trying to position it at about the level of the original films.

Will continue watching, but it's only a 5 or 6/10 from me.

Only 38 minutes too

so you are American! There’s no tits or gore but plenty of violence/deaths/cold blooded murders which obviously morally is fine 😂

The kids and I have thoroughly enjoyed the first 2 episodes.

They are going to sell a metric boatload of small green soft toys., which is probably the point.

Don't worry, episode 3 will soon put a stop to that. Though eddiebaby loved it so who knows?

I thought it was ok…. just ok.

Pretty much sums it up. To be fair, it's basically a kids' show and it is much better than the prequel movies.

If the little green thing is 50 years old, that would put his birth at the time of a young Darth Sidious, approximately the same as Annakin. Anyway, I liked the first two episodes. It is a bit soft though - a bounty hunter with a heart of gold. I thought that what Dave Filoni did with Rebels and the later Clone Wars was excellent and expect similar from this. Looking forward to part 3 tonight.

Part 3 is pretty good too really starting to open the story up, like others have mentioned like all Star Wars it’s a family story and film.

I've been enjoying it but feeling like there's something missing, last episode lost me a bit though, the "one of us" crew and the ending scene were painfully cheesy.

it's an OK space western. the only thing it's missing is the pre shoot out linger on the eyes Sergio Leone shots.

it is much better than the prequel movies.

The prequel movies are the better movies out the lot, IMO Revenge of the Sith is the best Starwars movie.

Mandalorian is good, the first three episodes have def been builder episodes, excited to see where it goes!

Yes hadn't thought of that, Baby Yoda must have been born just before the original trilogy in the timeline, Yoda must have stopped off for some coke and hookers before ending up on Dagobah

I really expected better from Jon Favreau but he seems to have dug very deeply into his bag of cliches. A magic macguffin introduced at the start of the episode which is 100% guaranteed to get him out of a “tough” spot later (and then never be used again 😂), the last second cavalry charge, bad guy saved from certain death cos the bullet hit his pocket watch so he can be back to ham it up in the next episode; it feels like a badly written 90s TV show. Walker: Texas Ranger was more sophisticated than this 😂. Looks great though 😀

I was okay with it, until the fly-by salute. Not only was it cheesy, it was very 'real world' like "god speed" in TLJ.

Bit disappointed in Ep4. A remake of the Magnicent 7 - er the Mag 2 wasn’t what is was expecting. Like the new girl but no real development of story arc. No real feeling of threat.

No real feeling of threat

It's Disney now, they can only go so far with the violence. While it was a bit Seven Samurai, I still liked it. It casts a wide net and can appeal to a whole family rather than having to be Rodians being beheaded and Twi'leks being set upon by roaving Tusken Raider rape gangs

I'm an episode behind and it pains me to say that I could happily never watch another episode, it's difficult to describe but it just feels very hollow to me.

It's getting boring now - especially as I'm also watching Watchmen & His Dark Materials. This is starting to feel a bit monster of the week, like a through back to the 90s tele.

Yeah 2 behind now, I'll probably catch up this week though as the Cantina sounds cool at least!

I actually miss those kind of shows that you could just dip in and out of. X-Files was an example of a really great one! (Apart from the alien conspiracy crap). I guess they are still making them (NCIS etc) but they've definitely fallen out of fashion.

If it's anything like Clone Wars or Rebels, it'll take at least a season to warm up. And I suspect you'll start to see some links to The Rise of Skywalker soon.

Pointless when most folk have already streamed them. This is a second run for those that really wanted to see it. Disney actually contributed to mass piracy with their staggered release of the service the numpties.

Don’t get me wrong - I agree, but just stating why they would think it was the best approach.

Disney didn't have a lot of choice, the staggered start was due to the expiration of various licensing deals, deals expired later in Europe so the Disney+ launch was delayed until they finished. As above gradual release of their flagship series to prevent binge watching in the free trial.

If you're going to criticise Disney you can't do it for being commercially acute.

Thought episode 1 was pretty good, episode 2 whilst great to view felt a bit more filler, I suppose it introduced a lot with Mandos new friend.

We loved it. I liked its slightly slow style at times and it’s pared back story.

I watched episodes 1-4 last night with Jnr and 5-8 will follow next Friday.

I liked it to start with, a little dark and edgy, the bounty droid was cool but... ...as soon as he got the full armour upgrade it got a bit Marvel for me.  I’d have rather he stuck with the scratched and dented version.  Is it me or is his acting a little wooden / terminator like at times?  Jawas came across like minions also, not sure if that was an attempt at humour but for it spoiled thinks a little.

cant believe Apollo Creed is in it!

If you’ve not seen about the “virtual” sets they used for this, it’s pretty amazing stuff. Huge LED screens and computer generated backdrops that track where the camera is.

Just finished it last night. Absolutely loved it. Mrs Binners says that if I loved her I’d get her a baby Yoda.

It’d probably come in handy. The binnerettes are on first name terms with the A&E staff. Binnerette number two is presently hobbling around with a broken metatarsal. No need for that if you had a baby yoda

Waited until the Disney+ app was on the NowTV stick and, as soon as we spotted it, we got Disney+ pretty much for the Mandalorian and so glad we did...it was ace, everybody loved it (there was an 'awww, cute' everytime baby yoda was on screen). Very much looking forward to more of the same

We also watched the final season of the Clone Wars (which we use to love) and we thought that was fantastic too...the 4 part finish with Ahsoka Tano was top notch

If the sequal trilogy had a story from the start they might have been ok. Rogue 1 and Solo were both good, the sequals shite, worse than the prequals on reflection, bloated and poorly acted as they were at least they had a sensible story to tell.

Finally somebody else that thinks Solo is a decent film. It is so much better than the main three new ones and I don’t understand the hate for it. It’s a great old school adventure film. I’ve tried Ti watch Rise of Skywalker three times now and just keep falling asleep.

We are working through the films in order and watched Rogue One last night, I've got to say that the prequels are a lot better than I remember them, they have a proper story and sound amazing. I also don't understand the hate Solo gets, seems a perfectly enjoyable film to me. We are Warwick Davis spotting as we watch them, I think he's in 7 of the films and sometimes plays multiple characters.

Yep agree, I always quite liked the prequels, removal of her would have made them a lot better. Rogue one is excellent and Solo not bad. I had hoped for more with the Force Awakens, but was disappointed with the Star Wars remake. The last Jedi was a mess a felt a bit like a jumbled up version of Empire but without the story. Rise of Skywalker story was implausible to put it mildly, I liked the scale of it but again rubbish story. Mando has been pretty good.
