Anyone seen it yet? Any good or just Pirates in cowboy land?

Pirates in cowboyland, but quite amusing nonetheless.

I can think of worse ways to spend a couple of hours

Isn't it a bit "so Jonny, remember that character you played in PotC, well, well it's similar. Is it possible to nod yer head and roll yer eyes, you know like you did to sell that film like a billion times over"

Shirley it's a pale imitation and ripe for dumb punter boredom syndrome...

🙄

Absolutely that. I went along with low expectations and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, there is a bit of Captain Jack Sparrow in there (especially given the make up), but it doesn't detract from the feel of the movie.

Not seen it but the costumes look a bit cabaret to me.

Actually looking closer that might be a crow on his hat, I thought it was a feather head dress. Maybe that is the original feather head dress?!

The crow makes sense if you see the movie. As for the "cabaret" style, it sort of carried on throughout. If you appreciate the Tim Burton look you'd probably get this too.

Yeah it's entertaining but let's face reality....the buggers at Hollywood are destroying my childhood heroes, it will be Captain Scarlet next!

I think you'll find any attempt to destroy Captain Scarlet has one pretty predictable flaw.
