I thought you meant Clarks Shoes had gone bankrupt and you were frantically stocking up on comfy shoes for the aeroplane!

Had to escort my sister to see them at Wembley. Liked their music but that night couldn't hear one note above all the screaming.

Another name from my youth gone.

Sad news 🙁 I'll be playing Last Train To Clarksville and a few other Monkee's tunes in a Laurel Canyon tribute show tomorrow night in Greenock.

Love the Monkees. I know that’s not cool - but since listening to my mums singles and seeing them on TV as a kid, I’ve never stopped.

Head is a fantastic film too.

RIP Peter and thanks for the anarchy on Saturday mornings.

No probs Cinnamon 🙂
After playing the greatest hits a bit later I'll probably end up playing Nesmith's 'Radio Engine to a Photon Wing' album.

I have great fondness for the Monkees, and Nesmith in particular, he’s a superb songwriter.
I think I’ll be playing some of their music this evening.
RIP Peter.

Who cares?

That's the great thing about being a grown up - music snobs are just a bit sad.

If it makes you happy, get stuck in.

We've just been dancing round the room to various Monkee related nonsense.

Not one of Pete's, but have been saving this one. It's a lovely warm night.....

Ah, that’s sad, the Monkees were fab (4) Perfect pop.
Tork was dead funny in the old programmes I remember so well from childhood. RIP
Oh yeah, one of my bands used to cover Last Train to Clarksville. Was quite a tech bassline for an old punk rocker (well, not that old back then)
