When I bought my wife this headset cap 2 years ago I didn't realise that she did have just one more hill to climb.
It was a very steep and long hill.
She rode it well.
Today, a month later, I was proud to carry it on my bike in the company of, and as an honorary member for the day of the Arran Belles, who did so much to help with that last climb.
We raised a bit of cash along the way to help with MND research and to support those suffering from its cruel effects.
It was a good way to spend a day.
condolences 🙁
My condolences also, and I thought that your post was wonderfully said.
My condolences to you and yours. Hope you had a fantastic day and looking at that topcap brought back some fond memories
That was a very touching post. I've actually welled up a little bit! What a lovely sentiment.
So sorry for your loss. For what it’s worth it sounds like you had a wonderful partner, and so did she.
Sincere condolences crewlie.
It sounds like she met her true soulmate when she met you.
Beautiful. Condolences.
Lovely words Mark, our thoughts are with you.
Condolences and very beautifully put.
condolences to you, what a lovely tribute
Thanks all. The words came mid ride the way thoughts do when you're just riding along. Riding bikes really is good for the soul 🙂
Deep condolences for all that you must have gone through.
I am now living in the shadow of this terrible disease.
Sorry for your loss.
Sorry for your loss, and it's a very good cap.
You have my sympathy.
What beautiful words, my condolences to you.
It's so hard to find the right words to respond to you but just to say........
Very well put, very moving and so sorry to hear what has happened. Just hope that the topcap will be with you always and that it brings back some happier memories..
The pain of riding the last hill will change into a memory of loving achievement over time. Take care, our thoughts are with you.
@cheese@4p If there's anything I can help with or just chat PM me.
@Pickers Hopefully I'll manage to get to Pennant to get cold, wet and muddy at some point again now 😉
Thanks crewlie, message sent.
You are a gem
I love and hate the story in equal measure.
Love the cap mate. Epic.
That's a lovely tribute to a brave woman and a selfless partner.
I can't help but I can't ignore it either. I was moved by your post and I hope you continue to find strength.
Thanks all again.
I know that nothing and no-one can really help
Only time can do that, but this site has had such a profound effect on our lives in such unexpected ways that it just seemed right to mark such a significant event with a post.
And as a reminder to give your loved ones a hug because...
That post hit me a lot harder than those few words suggested it would.
My condolences.
