When does Jungle become Drum n bass? Anyways, this is one of my top picks from BITD..
(can someone embed for me please)
There's no finer than this in my opinion:
Respect!
No painkillers in the jungle.
Parrots eat 'em all

Hold tight the 397..... The 326..... Yeah, ya get me? Hold on the phone line massive if ya wanna rewind. Ya locked in..... Happy days. Hold tight the DTI bahahaha
This thread isn't as big as I'd been led to believe.

What does a junglist do when he finishes his cup of tea?
Rinses it out propa.
IGMC
I used to play the triangle in a jungle band
I would just stand at the back and ting.
Some of the more recent Champion Sound remixes are pretty decent. Wait for the drop...

Constant source of humour for me and my wife.... Any time something needs rinsing out.... Oh the laughs.
I thought 'celebrities' would be getting out of there in this thread
What's the tune in the Human Traffic clip? It's got me 'dancing'
I need a full mix..
Think it was an Aphrodite track....
Decent mix
Badass tune
So glad my office has a Sub - not sure my colleagues or the other businesses in the building will agree...
Seen the recent Dj Storm 94-98 set on Boiler Room?
Talking of subs...
Whack this on geez....
Ohh I'll listen to that Storm mix tomorrow when the kids are out... The joys of being in a standalone property. Had some good nights with Storm and Kemi! Bless her soul.
As much as I like listening to BR sets, it ****in pains me to watch the crowd!!!
Why did the monkey get lost in the jungle?
Yeah dont watch the crowd ! I usually listen to them in soundcloud. Blue Note and Bagleys memories. Well I think I remember it
I listened to some new DnB just this very mornin
Rediscovered this in my collection recently:
No idea if this link will work, but I've never heard anything better than this: http://www.dnb-sets.de/index.php?set=593
Proper raucous
And this:
Both of which I'd probably file under jazzy d'n'b so not entirely relevant...
Aphex Twin's done some good mad ass jungley stuff.... Proper mental lentil
As far as I can tell, the distinction between jungle and drum'n'bass was based on whether you wanted to be taken seriously by a white middle class audience. I remember a kid at my school telling me that jungle was dead, then the next month Timeless came out.
Anyway, this is a tune (with a nice nod to Stetsasonic/Lonnie Liston Smith)
I think he meant jungle died a little when Timeless came out...
Someone please link Jon B - synthetic from Visions - that was my token tokin' go to at college.
Rob Hilton - MemberI think he meant jungle died a little when Timeless came out...
This was back when it was seen as proper white Escort music - basically a fad offshoot of rave. Everyone thought it had burned itself out. Then Metalheadz came along, Mercury Music Prize, etc. etc.
Here it is..
Drops at 1:40.
Takes me back
More dub but love this tune. May have been missed by some so worth a post
The thread is the shizntz..... lets slow things down
BTW 1996 is roughly the cut off between jungle and dnb, although it's just the drum patterns IMHO.
still incredible

@slimjim78, there should be a little button that says "Video” above the Reply window. Click that, paste the Youtube link in and it'll appear as an embedded video. Like this:
I've never followed so many links on one thread. Awesome choons!
Thnaks for the tip btw! FIIIRE!!!!
Poisonally, I like my nose to bleed and bowels to fall out of me when I'm junglin':
PFM & MC Conrad - The Western Tune
Such a good tune
As I recall, after rave was jungle techno, then jungle. About that time happy hardcore appealed more to the white ravers and jungle got dark and a bit stabby. Probs 95 onwards drum and bass started to appeal more to white people and garage got the jungle heads who were maturing...I recall going to jungle nights and being in the minority (and a little on edge even with "enhancements"
Then I found techno. Water. Hugs. Chewing gum..... 😀
Renault 5 Turbo.
Unbeatable.
Invincible.
As beneficial.
Respected by man
And loved by gyal.
Nu-Metal.
One of the more punishing tracks from the era!
And then of course there's the classic Father Ted track!

B & Equinox - 7 minutes of madness
I remember sitting in my room one night doing homework with the radio on, then [url=
happened and I knew from that moment I was a junglist.
the classic Father Ted track!
This one also got rewinds in St Clabberts Hospital for Wayward Priests.
For me it changed from jungle to drum 'n' bass, when it dropped the heavy use of ragga/ reggae samples and became a bit more "intelligent", especially tunes like Pulp Friction by Alex Reece (above) and the like.
Two pages and no Mention of Adam F - Circles... unless I missed it...
Atlantis #TUNE!
And no Goldie yet? Me bredren from Firetown.... Good ol' Clifford.
Remember this one being brilliant at Roast at Ministry.
When I'm weeeeeeeeeak.....
All smiles here some proper good choonage
Have that...
As they've re-grouped so to speak and because they pritty much got me through my A-Levels... Bad Company
Good grief, that Source Direct tune is proper filth. 🙂
Interesting how many producers had an alias for their less highbrow jump-up tunes. Goldie was Rufige Kru, 4 Hero were Tom & Jerry, Grooverider was IntaWarriors, Roni Size was Mask, and Photek put out a whole series of 10"s as The Truper.
My wife's just got back from "after work drinks" and admitted she actually bought a ticket off a tout to see leftfield do a Dj set under a huge fire breathing dragon. After left field there was a Dj called shy fx "I forgot I liked jungle, you'd have loved it"
Bah
Now on Sunday bukems playing along with other drum n bass and techno djs including Chris Liberator.... But it's $150 a ticket and I start a new job on Monday. 20 years ago I'd have done it. Damn.
Quoted wife "yeah it was like reggae and drum and bass, totally your thing"
Humph
Very dirty!!
