Small lunch this year as just me and a mate at the house so Hogs in Duvets (big pork sausages and good unsmoked bacon from a local farmer) mash with onions, peas, baby carrots and gravy.
Getting the bits out of the fridge to get some maple syrup to slap on the sausages I found some Iceland bacon. 6 December eat by date would be a bit of a worry. Doubly so as this was from last year.
Its been in the sealed pack in the fridge (not freezer) for a year and the pack hasn't bubbled and there are no visible signs of decay or age in the meat. What the hell kind of science experiment is this stuff? What is in there?
And hat's off to the packaging designer who has obviously done that job spot on.
Right back in the fridge for another year...

Simple buy shit bacon no one will use.
Drac FTW
Although to be fair I did find it in January and decided to see what would happen.
The answer? A very spooky nothing.
