Partner and I trying to plan for blended family Summer holiday with other kids coming too...
Needs to be
1) near a Sandy Beach
2) near a decent airport, not one only 2 charters go to a week
3) near a town which 14-16 year old kids would enjoy strolling off in by themselves
4) somewhere warm but not baking in late July
5) Probably Spain or Italy I guess.
6) We will have one car, not 2, so decent public transport a bonus
Etc etc...
Done Barcelona, Ibiza
You'd think in this age of information it would be easy, but we are struggling to even decide a rough area to go.
Any Ideas?

Sweden. Stokholm is great. Beaches thin on the ground though.
San Sebastian or the places along the coast like Zarautz, Hondarribia, Plentzia.

The above places tick every box, but will be a bit expensive.
Arcachon, perhaps?
Sweden. Stokholm is great.
Further south. Malmo is fantastic. If you have a car there are some amazing beaches in Skane.
We've booked this place, ticked all the boxes for us with our two kids (will be 10 and 6)
Tarifa.
Hadn't thought of Arcachon, CFH, nice idea.
We'd been looking at Cala d'or paulosoxo, have you been there before? What did you think?
Did Copenhagen and Northern Spain in the last year or so.
But some great ideas. Please keep em coming...

From the Liteville thread this link got me thinking. Maybe suit you guys too (not necessarily this company/offer) but the Italian lakes in general. Not a traditional beach holiday but plenty of beaches and swimming to be had.
Not been before Stoatsbrother, but we were really struggling to find a villa that was near the beach, and near some kind of resort/bar/restaurant.
We went to Barcelona and stayed in an apartment in Poblenou this year, that was fantastic, couple of minutes walk to the beach, and a few stops on the metro from Placa de Catalunya, but we fancied something a bit less hectic this year.
