In honour (?) of Ladies Day, let's instead turn our minds to the GOOD side of sartorial elegance in sporting photography. So, sporting photos of people/teams/cars/boats/whatever that are just damned dapper, fittingly fine and excellently elegant.

Like this (Best race kit ever?)

One of the greatest players, involved in one of the greatest tries, in perhaps the greatest rugby kit ever made;

For me, I love Henry Blofelds style (ok, maybe not the apron)

I do like seeing MCC members dressed in the clubs colours

Fasthaggis wins the thread so far! That is a stupendously cool picture!

Tim Birkin, when being British meant wearing white clothing at completely inappropriate moments;

Top quality 'tache action there as well. Here he is again, with Woolf Barnato.

And here is the latter's stunning jalopy;

My wife worked with Walter Hassan's daughter for a few years. He built that for Barnato, as well as this;

1935 Oliver Bertram took the All-corners Brooklands lap record in the Barnato-Hassan at 142.6 mph

He also designed some rather tasty F1 engines and various takes ont he Jaguar XK's

[img] [/img]

anyway, sorry bit of a diversion.

John Cobb looking dapper;
