Yunki - nicely done. I've done something similar but not close enough to be that cool.

A close up like the picture Yunki posted, but in video, with the pupils contracting and dilating, would look awesome !

It's very dark inside there.

That National Geographic photo looks like it should've been taken on Frank Herbert's 'Dune'.

Both good v. pics mind...

If the eyes are a window to the soul, then that soul looks pretty dark....

The technical skill to take a photo like the first one up there ^ must be incredible. Whether that be photoshop or camera skills. It's one of the best photos I've ever seen.

I’ve looked into many eyes in my past, not all of them reveal whats actually going on behind the iris.

An arse like a window? As big as a window?

Seems harsh!

Woppits arse is a window to the Cotic Soul? I think I've stumbled into the wrong thread.

Stunning pic in the OP. Is that a normal iris (I guess so)? Looks like honeycomb.

I've looked into mine often enough to know there's bugger-all going on behind them...
That Nat.Geo. photo of the Afghan girl has become quite iconic now. Astonishing eyes, quite unforgettable, I remember seeing it when first published, and I've never forgotten it.

This photo was taken for a book put together by a friend of mine, John Casson:

[img] [/img]

That's the face and eyes of a haunted man. This is what it was taken for:
http://www.afghanfaces.co.uk/index.html

All profits from the sale of Afghan Faces and associated events will be donated to Help For Heroes, The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund and Sandy Gall's Afghanistan Appeal.

There are some incredible photos in the book, and I was given a detailed story behind all of them when I stayed with the author recently, just before dinner. Eye-opening, if you'll excuse the pun...

Bloodynora, you're more than welcome. John was out out there with just the photographer, a driver, and a bodyguard with a loaded AK47! They were up around Kabul, iffy enough for a westerner, but nowhere near as bad as other parts of the country. We spent nearly two hours before dinner going through all the pics, John giving me the background story to each one. Hell of a project, and I'll treasure my signed copy!
