I've recently started working back through from the start. Got to the end of the third series then stopped for a while. I've enjoyed it as much the second time around as the first. Glad they've kept on with it.

This is terrible.

I've just started over from season 1, watching it with my eldest boy and his wife.

But now I can hardly skip ahead and watch this on my own! What would STW do?

^^ Don't tell him.😉

However, the whole faking surprise at what happens etc, erc does tire pretty quickly I must admit from my previous experience.

Tough call but id still go with don't tell him.😁

Hell yeah! I think I might try and get this set up so that I can watch at least some episodes at the same time as my mate in Berlin.

Having read the books, the last series is very much setting up for all hell breaking loose in this one!

Buckle down and get through series 1-4 fast so you finish S4 early December and can just roll straight into S5, obviously.

Yup

1-3 were a very good arc.
4 was weaker.

The 4th book wasn't up to much either. It was a decent enough stand alone story but it didn't really do much to move the overall story along.

Whilst trying to avoid spoiling anything, they seem to have given away the big twist with the end of the 4th season and the trailers. Seems like a lost opportunity for the proper WTF!!! moment I had when reading the book.

How do the books rate against the series?

Personally I think the books are a lot better. Series is still great, but you lose a lot of nuance from page to screen. It’s great being able to be in the characters heads and there is no effects budget in your imagination. A couple of the characters (and Belters in general) don’t work well for me. Amos and Naomi being the main two. Just not how I envisioned them at all.

I’m another one eagerly awaiting the next book.

Waiting for the last book in the series

It would be nice if it gets released before the end of the series.
I'm guessing Amazon will tell me.... but from your comment I take it it's not.

Damn, I'm going to have to start watching this. I'm halfway through book 8 (which I thought was going to be the last, but evidently not, from posts above!) and have throughly enjoyed them.
God knows when I'm going to get time to watch...

Great 🙂

Books are always different than the TV as you don't have the time constraints nor budget to consider. Having never read the books or even considering in reading them I personally don't care they are different, I enjoy the tv series.

I enjoy the books and the series, definitely differences but I think they've done the characters well. I like the fact they're mixing up the storylines from the books.

I think season 4 was the weakest but looked fantastic with the extra amazon budget. Can't wait, shame I have to give Amazon money to watch this. It's the only thing I like on Prime.
