Nope, not Edwardwoodwood but a new series starring Queen Latifa as the retired CIA operative.
I only found out about it as I was checking out the Superbowl ads on US TV.
I don't hold the original show as sancrosanct, I really liked Denzels recent outings in the role, but I'm wondering if this is going to be a step too far - and does that make me a misogynist or something?
I shall watch it this evening and see...

So long as it has a nod to the old theme tune and a massive jag I’m in.
Thanks I’ll give this a look. Seems a reasonable premise.
Woodward - great.
Washington - very good.
Woodward was about as intimidating as a Chihuahua, Denzel Washington was great in the role.
Erm....
Anyone who actually watches a plethora of movies and television shows and has a brain knows this show is not "good" in the slightest. Queen latifah isn't cut out to be in an action role. Anybody and I mean anyone who thinks this is a remotely good show is just as delusional as the producers themselves. I cannot see this show airing more than a season. Unless, something completely riveting or some kind of twist somewhere actually happens, but I doubt it. Very poorly played out for 2021. Considering the equalizer movies and the 80s tv series is immensely better. This show goes to show that we are in the dark ages of television and the 2020s are going to be another failed decade for television and making it a dying breed.
It was no brain engaged time passing TV right up to this 'Queen Latifah isn’t cut out to be in an action role.'
The 'fight' scenes just looked very, very wrong.
On the good side there WAS a massive Jag.
Queen latifa has form for really bad remakes, taxi the most excellent French film was remade and the remake was truly awful
Re the original TV series, it really does date the era, nowadays he'd just be shot or stabbed in the first episode and that would be that.
Not even going to bother watching it. looks woke as ****. The studio is working on its next series Joan Wick.
