Even Fox don't seem that comfortable with it... You never go full Trump.
Perhaps an identifier that they could pin to their clothing....
Trying to work out if it would go well or badly if Trump was involved in an indecent that meant no more Trumping
Totally.Barking.Mad.
Everyone even tourists.
Everyone even tourists.
You think they should let Muslim tourists in ?
Everyone including American citizens who are Muslim but are abroad
When asked by The Hill if that included Muslim Americans who may currently be abroad, his spokeswoman said: "Mr Trump says everyone."

You all laugh. But he's way ahead in the polls.
He just needs to get the Republican nomination, it doesn't matter that all the bleeding-heart liberals laugh at him.
And once he's the candidate, Republicans will have to vote for him whether they like him or not, as the alternative will be too awful to contemplate.
So better get used to seeing him around.
Oh sorry, but the satire on social media is sublime...
Donald Trump is basically a YouTube comment section running for president
He just needs to get the Republican nomination
The people who get polled are not the same as those who go tot he primaries, getting the nomination is a tough game and decided by people interested in politics, the people being polled are liking some idiot.
Even the bonkers right wing idiots I met were not keen on Trump.
it doesn't matter that all the bleeding-heart liberals laugh at him.
By bleeding heart liberals do you mean people who are not racist scum, idiots or simple delusional pricks?
I agree that there's nothing funny about Trump. Even if he fails to win the Republican nomination this latest outburst will help to achieve two things.
Firstly it will further whip up hatred and division, and secondly, it will hugely help to make other Republican candidates appear moderate.
And we know from Jeb Bush's warmongering brother that despite being very different to Trump this is not necessarily true.
it doesn't matter that all the bleeding-heart liberals laugh at him.
Except that his own party has given him a pasting today after the comments. Even Jeb Bush called him "unhinged."

Which Polls?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationwide_opinion_polling_for_the_United_States_presidential_election,_2016
It'll make bus travel more comfortable.
Only near Bristol.
Seriously, he's a ruckus-rousing eedjit beyond compare.
will it make any difference though? I agree this is another level of appalling rhetoric, but his followers already know he's a racist, xenophobe and all-round awful human being..... will this lose him any voters? I suspect not.
Horrible man.
Scott Adams has been predicting Trump winning the presidential election since August. He takes Trump quite seriously as a very capable politician. I'm not sure I agree, but it's quite interesting.
Exactly, Scott Adams back up his prediction with
Over at 2016 Presidential Campaign Predictions they are tracking pundit predictions for the presidential race, including mine. But they have my Trump prediction dated in November. The first time I predicted he would win it all was August. I revised the prediction to “landslide” in October. In the unlikely event that my August prediction turns out to be right (that Trump wins it all), the world is not ready to believe I could see it so early. Assuming I did.
(only 2 comments down the page)
and following the link above he struggles to come out on top in the Rep candidate polls vs Clinton.
If there is one thing that comes out is if the alternative is an arsehole it will mobilise those less inclined to vote to vote the other way.
omg..... just read some comments on social media. I'm properly shocked.
Perhaps an identifier that they could pin to their clothing....
No need - their characteristic facial features will give them away - lovely brown eyes and a friendly smile.
He's a hate preacher, radicalising the unwary/stupid. What's the Daily Mail's take on it all I wonder.
#you'renoChristianbruv
You all laugh. But he's way ahead in the polls.
Which is one of the reasons he says these stupid things. every time his numbers slip, he comes back with something more extreme to say.
But how do we know they are Muslim? What about those in the Emerica already? The only way to know is to put a tattoo on them and keep them in the same neighbourhood.
I am sure I saw a documentary on someone else who did that to some group or other.....
Regardless of whether he wins the Republican nomination or not, I'm still staggered how well he is doing and how many Americans are prepared to vote for him
One of these statements is by Trump, the other Hilary Clinton. If the first wasn't attributed it might be tricky to tell the difference?
He's a bit like the Farage of UK politics, to my mind - he's saying things he knows will strike a chord with 30% of voters and not giving a stuff what the rest think.
It's not Trump that's the issue, it's the fears and prejudices of those who's thoughts he's articulating. Unless they are addressed Trump (or someone like him) will continue to grab headlines and move all political discourse to the right.
They must be so very proud in Robert Gordons, what a fantastic honorary degree recipient to have on their list. 👿
waswas - those quotes are about trying to combat the 'terror threat' through media control.
Trump's could be about gun-toting US psychos!
Trump's other (OP) statements are about making an entire religious/racial group (he doesn't know) with terrorist actions.
Totally different.
boxelder - I was trying to use it as an example of where what he's saying in some areas (not the Muslims thing) is either driving or reflecting more mainstream opinions.
As above - he comes out with the the outrageous stuff if he sees himself slipping in the polls but, like UKIP, the majority of what he says seems 'reasonable' to a lot of people. They take the 'ban muslims' thing as 'going a bit far' but agree with the sentiment of protecting themselves by barring 'the other' from entering their country.
It's very carefully calculated and ensures a far wider appeal than he would otherwise have.
You all laugh. But he's way ahead in the polls.
Only in the Republican nomination polling
In the presidential polls even with hillarys baggage most same Americans will vote Clinton over trump
Still a scary idea that he has so much support
Useful Idiot Track World ..
As impractical as it is reprehensible. How do you decide who is a muslim?
Trump appeals to the average American that does not live on either of the coasts. There are enough nut jobs and wackos to rival ISIS living in America.
the vox popping on r4 this morning is truly terrorfying, the us media has so skewed the typical septics perception of the risks of terrorism.
Some clear and provocative comments made to shock.
He does have a load of support, folks that would never ever consider voting for the current incumbent.
As impractical as it is reprehensible. How do you decide who is a muslim?
Are you kidding? We have a whole forum of theologians here who can tell you what is and isn't "real Islam".
He's possibly just one well-timed terrorist attack away from the White House.
As impractical as it is reprehensible. How do you decide who is a muslim?
Its cos they is brown, innit

Just like saying what people want to hear, do you really think the BBC or anyone else would trawl through their recordings looking for the moderate stuff? Or just give you the extreme nutjobs that back up your stereotypes about Americans?
Its cos they is brown, innit
A dangerous path, first they came for the extremists, then the Gregs Steak Bake, by the time they came for the caramel gregsnut there was no one left to speak out.
As impractical as it is reprehensible. How do you decide who is a muslim?
Simple, just re-word the old 'communist' question and put it back on the visa/ESTA application.....
Are you now, have you ever been or have you considered becoming a muslim?
I'm sure everyone would answer that honestly 😕
He's clearly an attention seeking nutjob and I'd assume that even the Murkens can see that.
oldnpastit - MemberHe's possibly just one well-timed terrorist attack away from the White House.
+1
the extreme nutjobs that back up your stereotypes about Americans?
25% of Americans 'identify' as Republican and 40% of them seem to be supporting trump.
So it looks like 10-15% of Americans are extreme nutjobs. Which is quite high, imo.
Although 8% of Americans believe the moon landings were faked so they're clearly not prone to rational thought.
Without his money he (Trump) would just be the nutter on the bus. The one my lovely wife will attract and talk to!
So it looks like 10-15% of Americans are extreme nutjobs.
I don't think the percentage of nutjobs is that high. Most of those supporters are simply very poorly educated* and consequently ignorant.
* I'm not just talking about formal education
As impractical as it is reprehensible. How do you decide who is a muslim?
Time all incoming flights to land just before Salat al-zuhr. When in the immigration line just single out those praying. Easy innit.
seriously though. Is Trump real? Sounds like a character from a Mel Brooks film.
I bet he's ISIS' preferred candidate for the presidency.
Part of me hopes Trump is just doing this for the publicity and to boost his ego ("I don't need to fund-raise as I'm so rich") in order to bolster his business interests. Then there is the quite terrifying prospect of him being serious, the other Republican candidates are struggling and there is a chance he could win the Presidency, an outside chance but it's a two horse race so if you are in it you have a chance. There are many states which will not vote Democrat no matter who stands
Calm down people....he's trolling 🙂
Surprised to hear you're not a Trump fan jambalaya. Your opinions on Muslims seem pretty consistent with his.
He is not pro ISraeli enough for Jambys tastes
I hope that in a few weeks Trump looks at a camera during an interview and says "See, and this is how the Nazi party whipped up their support in Germany in the late 30s. I have been The Donald and you've been part of my new educational TV franchise".
I doubt it though.
He's the preferred Anarchist choice.
#He just needs to get the Republican nomination, it doesn't matter that all the bleeding-heart liberals laugh at him.
When you say "bleeding-heart liberals" I think you mean "anyone who isn't a fascist".
Surprised to hear you're not a Trump fan jambalaya. Your opinions on Muslims seem pretty consistent with his.
Not a shred of evidence to suggest thats even remotely true and you know it.
JY whoever wins the Presidency they will be much more supportive of Israel than Obama, Netanyahu knows that which is why he accepted the Republican invitation to speak without consulting Obama. Clinton is very pro-Israel. Natanyahu secured $10bn of additional military aid from Obama as a result of the Iranian Nuclear deal, so I imagine net/net he's quite happy with that and Obama is in the twilight of his term and Netanyahu is looking to the future.
When you say "bleeding-heart liberals" I think you mean "anyone who isn't a fascist".
I generally find that that's the case whenever someone uses the phrase "bleeding-heart liberals".
Evidence, lol.
you only have to mention the word fascist and the discussion becomes about netinyahu....
Is there not like a test you have to sit or anything? They just let you stand? Even if you're the biggest bell end in the western world? Really? I'd start with:
Question one:
Are you a massive bell end?

Actually I have as much of a problem with a reporter from a national newspaper - laughably called the "Independent" - deliberately mis-representing someone's viewpoint due to personal bias & the desire to create a shocking-sounding headline, as I do with a guy like Trump. Not sure, better ask the internet
Scottish government shold compulsory purchase Trump International luxury hotel at Balmedie and house Syrian refugees there.
It would be good to hear Trump's speech over here, see him too.
I mean, when you think of the publicity he garnered for the Golf course in East Scotland and subsequent backlash, then railroad, his POV looks like it's mellowed somewhat.
I vote SamCam to open the invite, swish her succulent brown locks over her shoulders and kick her heels out whilst extending her right hand invite.
Capture that on TV and you've got the next reality show right there.
I expect ITV have thought of that format and sold the Advertising space to the Cola franchise already.
He's not racist, some of his best friends are Scottish Nationalists...
When you say "bleeding-heart liberals" I think you mean "anyone who isn't a fascist".
That is exactly the meaning I had in mind 🙂
someone needs to hoof him in the slats and wee in his shoes...then maybe shove those ridiculously long ties of his down his gob!!
Relax. He's just trying to distract attention from that ridiculous syrup.
30k or so deaths by guns in US each year. That is a stunning and ridiculous figure, yet it hardly gets a mention in any presidential debates or commentary.
always start a graph after the event you're trying not to include in the statistics.
Though even if you do include it, it's only about 10% of the number of non-terrorist firearm deaths in the US that year
Yeah but firearms deaths are mostly blacks and hispanics killing each other so in the Trumpiverse that's a good thing, yeah?
Wasn't 9/11 a bit terrorism related? Or am I misreading something?
That 9/11 was in 2001 and the graph (conveniently) starts at 2004?
30k or so deaths by guns in US each year. That is a stunning and ridiculous figure, yet it hardly gets a mention
@frank to the contrary its a major issue in every election, in fact continually. However the pro gun lobby will say if you look into those figures you have suicides, large numbers killed in gang violence including drugs and that a large proportion of these deaths use illegally held firearms.
As for the gun deaths vs terrorism chart you could do the same for road deaths (50k pa in the US ?) so clearly we should ban cars or make everyone drive at 10mph ?
Yay, we've got the car v gun comparison. Awesome.
However the pro gun lobby will say if you look into those figures you have suicides, large numbers killed in gang violence including drugs and that a large proportion of these deaths use illegally held firearms.
Suicides, using guns
Gang violence, using guns
Illegally held firearms, that probably started off as legally held guns.
But it is okay, lets just ban cars instead as they kill more people.
and cars have no purpose or function other than to harm humans whereas handguns all sorts of alternative uses around the home.
That 9/11 was in 2001 and the graph (conveniently) starts at 2004?
<benefit of doubt mode>
Graph created in 2014 and supposed to cover 'last decade'
</benefit of doubt mode>
But even if you did include it and go back to 2001 or earlier it would still be a dwarfed by the gun deaths, and that's before you even question the idea of whether or not you should include single, infrequent, and unusual events when looking at trends.
Not to mention that they have taken action* to prevent another occurence of a 2001 style event, but aren't exactly taking much action to address the huge gun toting elephant in the room.
*I'd hate to see the graphs of worldwide/non-US deaths as a result of said action.
no purpose or function other than to harm humans
It's worth pointing out that a plenty of guns in the US are bought for recreational purposes i.e. hunting. These are no different to fishing rods or bikes in the minds of their owners. Of course they can be 'repurposed' as we know.
Looks like about 1/6 of gun owners are hunters, but hunters often have quite a few guns (n+1 applies):
