They sell them so well, even though I have loads that are similar, there's always one I just have to have.

I don't think I've ever bought a font without it being earmarked for an existing project. The basics get dealt with by Adobe typekit as part of the creative cloud license and anything more unusual or particular is bought on a job by job basis from wherever happens to have it and gets charged back to the client.
