Went down for a look around at their open day yesterday. That is one seriously impressive facility.

I was knackered from the weekends trip, so only managed an hour of feeble climbing/falling, but some of the standard on display was outstanding.

One thing struck me immediately though, and is the reason I often don't bother with places like this....is how weird/cliquey some of the indoor climbing fraternity can be! It's in a league of its own. Makes us lot look pretty normal!

Local wall at Brighouse is excellent and not at all cliquey.

Is this the place that's in an old church? Went there years ago and it was excellent. Nearly pat my shants at the very top though.

Nah bob, that's the Glasgow Climbing Centre (which is a full climbing facility), it's just around the corner though.

TCA only opened a few months ago and is a dedicated bouldering facility. It's absolutely huge, you really can't even begin to get an idea of the scale of the place from the photos. You could spend months in there and not get round to having a bash at all the problems.
