Prompted by a lady who lived up the road from me taking her own life yesterday, it's that time of year again
I didn't know her personally, but by all accounts it was awful for alot people.
Im on my phone but if someone without sausage fingers could put in some hot links to helplines...
Me, im ok. The usual S A D but working in a different sector is a benefit as i get to see daylights most afternoons.
Post up if you're struggling, just to vent . Typiing things put can be cathartic. No shame in it, its a thing that affects us all inany different ways
I think Hannah posted the links recently. I'm in a good place today because my grown up kids and elderly mum and dad are all about to arrive. I love a family Christmas and we've not done it for ages. But I also suffer a lot from SAD and have had a bad year health-wise. With some lingering issues, including fairly bad anxiety which I've never had before. My wife has also had some health issues and is facing 2 lots of surgery in the NY. Going to do my best to enjoy Christmas but may fail. I fully understand why it's a lonely and sad time for many. Happy to chat to anyone who would like to.

It is that time of year for many people. This forum has always been a great place for support. If you are having a tough time then please reach out on here.
Lots going on in my life and head at the moment. I'm generally ok though.
This could be my younger sisters last Christmas unless she has some miraculous recovery from her terminal cancer. I always get pretty stressed before big events and this is no different. I know it'll be good though, I have a great family but theres gonna be a lot of tears.
Let it out people, don't bottle it up, share it with people and use the helplines if you need to.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
