Has anybody contributed to Radcliffe and Maconie's The Chain?

If so, what was it and when?

Officially the longest listener-generated thematically linked sequence of musically based items on the radio, BTW.

I chipped in years back when it was part of the evening show on the Light Programme - Radiohead and Street Spirit. I assume that it'll follow R&M to their weekend show next year.

Pretty sure NBT and Binners have on a few occasions.

Looks like DrLex's input is needed!

I'm thinking that presumably the last link in the Chain, when (or assuming) they wrap it up as part of their move to the weekend, might be The Chain by Fleetwood Mac.

NBT is on first name terms with all the 6 music staff he's on so often on both the Chain and Teatime Themetime

Me, just the once. I was on exactly two years ago, as I was banging on about the Rake Hillclimb which was yesterday. I took us from Streetlife by Randy Crawford to Turn the Page by the Streets.

I have had a few shout-outs to Mrs Binners too from Radmac and Huey. One was the Valantines Day Thrashacre read out by Scott from Anthrax and got me massive brownie points as she's a proper rock chick! 😀

Yes that naughty nbt is always on the chain.

Annoyingly he never mentions my small business (I'm the wife) or how much he loves me, blah, blah, blah.

Missed this

15 chain appearances so far. First was only when they'd moved to 6 music, Jame's Taylor's Fire and Rain. Most recent was an incognito effort, K-Klass's Rhythm Is A Mystery called in as "Julian In The Forest Of Dean" as I was on holiday. They seem to be favouring new callers at the moment so "regulars" aren't as keen

I've had several Tea Time Theme Times used, at least half a dozen and quite probably more - they don't tell you if they use the, you just have to be listening. A few of mine have been only partially credited, or modified slightly when they've swapped out a track they didn't like for something more in line with their playlist

I’ve thought of loads of links, but only ever tried a couple of times, never been convenient to call in.

Nope, never been broken. That’s why it’s still Officially the longest listener-generated thematically linked sequence of musically based items on the radio, BTW.

That bloody Hawk. Is he on 6Music because he was fired from hospital radio for being too dull? The highlight this week has been why Aberystwyth has got a Shrewsbury postcode.

@BigJohn - compared to Mary-anne Hobbs he's radio gold. She's blummin' awful

Funny I heard the tandem and wondered. But where should.the engine be front or back? There seemed to be some confusion.

So was it nbt/bunny hop on there a few minutes ago?

Tandom evangelistas are quite rare on R6

Yes, that was me. If the two cyclist are evenly experienced, id put the bigger engine on the back, e.g if you had Froome and Stannard then Stannard would be the engine. I'm a physically stringer cyclist than Mrs NBT (Bunnyhop) though, and you do need some strength on the front to steer and pilot, so i perform that role and supply power from the front as well.

I can bring a tandem to the next pootle if anyone feels brave...

We once rented a MTB  tandem in Ballater for a day. Didn't get far due to lack of coordination, communication "issues" and it was made from osmium. Never again!
