Afternoon all,

So...that bolt that keeps your tap from wobbling, maybe about 10mm or so, how do you tighten it? Not enough room to use a spanner. Ideally, would have a socket and ratchet but the socket needs to be able to pass the rod through it...if you can understand this ramble - thank you!

Box spanners are what you need. It can still be a pain though!

They are dirt cheap and generally come in packs of various sizes.

And if you end up undoing it completely or fitting a new one - cut down the threaded rod so you can use a normal socket. Most plumbers dont bother but it means you have to turn the nut about a million times with one of those awkward spanners ^^ if you do need to take it off again

Alternatively our local (strangely still cash or account only) builders merchant sold me one of these wobbly headed adjustable basin wrenches. Works on our sink and not tried the sort above.
