I prefer 'Fly the flag' if we are going down the SLF road.
But for me 'No rest for the wicked' by New Model Army

This was the B side of the first ever punk single I bought. A side was Hurry up Harry, but I thought this was infinitely better cos it had rude words in it. I would have been about 12, happy days.

Hmmmm, some interesting/dubious choices of punk songs so far.
My choice is White Man In Hammersmith Palais-The Clash, in fact its the best song ever anywhere. This song allowed punk (and punks) to grow and expand musical horizons.
Can still remember hearing it on Peel and being gobsmacked by the sound.
Of course Instant Hit by the Slits (or anything by the Slits) is a cracker.

I'm a big Misfits fan - I even like some of the Graves era (Crimson Ghost is a pretty good album) but you can't beat Danzig stuff - Skulls, Green Hell, Last Caress, Rat Fink but I'm going to nominate Where Eagles Dare. Ace.

I wouldn't class modern AFI as punk, especially not the later stuff. The early stuff was good, before it got to goth / pop.

some people do have a strange definition of "punk", and some people are just strange and some people are the Butthole Surfers
