I bought Since I Left You when it was first released, and it's still in my car today because it's too good to put back in the house 🙂
So I bought Wildflower the other day, which has great reviews. But what a disappointment - it's like a whole album of SILY intros, outros and bridging-between-songs bits. I don't really understand why it's got such great reviews, and I'm intrigued to know what anyone else thought of it?
(I got it off Amazon so have it downloaded, meaning the CD is unopened, if anyone wants it for a fiver 🙂 )
I've had it for a few weeks and really like it. What you don't like about it is probably what I like most about it. Its like walking around a neighbourhood on a warm night hearing snippets of music coming out of open windows.
It actually reminds me a little of American Graffiti in that sense too.
For people that do like it (or haven't heard it yet) 'The Was' by Soda Jerk is a great companion to the album
Perhaps that's it - it's like there are loads of bits that promise a great song coming up, and then it never comes.
Well to cheer you up heres a great song that didn't make it onto Since I Left You all those years back
I'm obliged 🙂
maccruiskeen , nice link - thank you. Most* of the sources are unknown to me, but entertaining and very well done.

Yeah I've had it a few weeks. Great start but the rest is filler. I iz dizzapoint
I'm a bit disappointed too. Its ok but from the reviews I expected better.
I like this analogy though
Its like walking around a neighbourhood on a warm night hearing snippets of music coming out of open windows.
Just on the Newcastle-Edinburgh train and giving it another listen undisturbed...
I always loved this - more for the video to be fair

Yeah, I can see that. Maybe it needs another few listens with that in mind, instead of waiting for proper songs - I was expecting it to be like SILY and have some absolute belters on it.
