You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Ball still swinging? Could be a feisty hour until tea!
All out 145 lead, can they make it?
Make us bat again? Probably.
Win? Depends on which England team come out for the second innings
for 1?
Hmmm. Warner is scoring quickly though. If he does that for an hour there won't be much of a lead.
Hmmmm indeed.
The crowd are sounding increasingly beery. The bastards! 🙁
and 2... just need Tasha now
[s]3[/s]4/-69
And 3...just need Tasha now.
OOPS!
Are you England
Are you England
Are you England in disguise?
Two day test?
3 day give us a chance to make it worth it...
well well well
booo no hat trick
That's that then.
😯
bowling hand grenades 🙂
I may not be going tomorrow at this rate
got to get shot of Tasha or the rest first...
come on!!!
Hahahahahaha!
an absolute beauty !
Nevill looks twitchy
Finny is having a stormer.
the only thing missing from that last wicket was a cartwheeling middle stump
*reads refund t&c's on back of ticket*
So the big question is < or > than 36.4 overs?
Finns too good for the righthanders
I wish England would get on with skittling the Ozzies, I'm trying to pack for holiday and the cricket is too much of a distraction.
For those who have pictures, how similar did the Marsh LBW review and then bowled look to the classic Watson dismissal?
#justwondering
So, will they make England bat again?
#nelson
Jimmmmmmmmmmmy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe not now Warners gone!!!! 😀
Whoo
Don't ever remember an aussie side capitulate like this
All done by stumps? 🙂
[quote=ads678 ]Maybe not now Warners gone!!!!
well I didn't post that while he was still there (see #tag)
No TMS today but don't want to leave the live update page! However a bike ride beckons so hopefully the highlights will see this finished!
RM.
Convicts: 2 for 6
🙂
Jimmy Anderson off the field injured, Beefy talking about an intercostal strain which will probably be 6-8 weeks. Shame if he's out for rest of series.
Five for!
Ooooo
England have got their foot firmly on the Australian throat here slowly choking the life out of them
It really has been an odd series so far.
Us on top in the first game, utterly embarrassed in the second now back on top.
It's a game of Five Fifths isn't it.
Jimmy is officially out for Trent Bridge.
ECB statement released on Thursday morning said: “England bowler James Anderson has been ruled out of remainder of the current Investec Ashes Test with a side strain.
“Anderson will be unavailable for the 4th Test beginning on Thursday 6 August at Trent Bridge and his availability for the final Test in the series will be determined in due course.”
So how's this going to go then?
I hope we can get these last three for not many and have 50-odd to chase. More than a hundred - we're still firm favourites but it gets a bit squeaky bum. 150 - didn't something happen in 1981 between these two........
24 runs from the first 3 overs lead by 47.
There could at least have been far worse times to lose Anderson with an injury - Broad and Finn do both seem to be firing.
We seem to be letting them get away a bit here though 🙁
Is this the point at which we throw a hissy fit because someone who clearly made contact with the ball doesn't walk?
This is turning out to not be as easy as it should be (hoping feverishly to be proved wrong before I stop typing).
Patience is needed, don't go chasing them, just keep doing what has worked so far.
Is this the point at which we throw a hissy fit because someone who clearly made contact with the ball doesn't walk?
😀
Broad is probably going to keep those thoughts to himself on this occasion.
Is this the point at which we throw a hissy fit because someone who clearly made contact with the ball doesn't walk?
I did wonder.....
*holds breath*
Thank **** for that.
Bye bye
Too much triumphalism (is that the word?) for my liking at the moment. Let's get this last wicket quickly
Or a quick tenner on an Aussie win for a bit of fun?
Phew
Ok, how close are we going to come to losing this?
Cant look, I can see England throwing this away, openers need to just play the bad balls, block the rest
Or a quick tenner on an Aussie win for a bit of fun?
I tried this morning, Hills were doing 20/1, but was blocked by my work server.
England were 1/100 at the time.
Just looked again, now 8/1 Aus and 1/20 England. And the bookies aren't often wrong, we're still heavily fancied but not beyond the realms that things might go tits up.
Johnson to open the bowling ? 🙂
Ok, 8-1 is not enough really even for a little bet. But tempted!!!
Two down before lunch, anyone?
England to win by 7 or 8 wickets, on a flat pitch that the tailenders from both sides have batted comfortably on. A massive anticlimax. Cook to finish on 40-odd not out.
Never in doubt.
Right, 40 mins of work, then back on.
Great Start! 🙄

Stop it. I'm doing NLP, positive reinforcement. If i believe it'll happen, it will happen.
can we hang in till tea?
ah, bell not read the script?
all over by half two?
Three fours on the over?
Tidy
Bell dropped by Clark
over half way
another 25 from these 2 and it will be the dolly bowlers so we can all pack up and go home
Johnson's last over 😆
Please no slips now. Bell to hit the winning runs at Edgbaston. Fitting picture...
2 to win
scores are level
seems like a good pitch !
