Have we done this yet ? If we have i apologise.

First episode last night, if those sort of people are the future captains of industry then god help us all, what an utter buch of conceited, brown nosing, unlikeable, pompous twerps, then again i didnt expect anything else. Idiots.

I suspect the majority of them are selected to make good tv.

I am thinking of spoofing my boss that he has been selected for the fictitious "Apprentice Executive" programme, would love to see him get sucked in.

Totally agree. They seem worse than any of the previous series.

The boys PM from last night deserved to go. Total d1ck.

It is fast becoming Big Brother in its selection expectations - the contestants thinking they need to be louder, brasher, more outspoken etc to get noticed. Real businessmen and women get on and make money, not fawn after the person that gave us:

This programme wound me up for years until I realised the whole point was to shout at the screen and laugh at their ineptitude.

WTF is that angry short-haired blonde girl all about and her obsession with "closing the sale" on a pack of sausages?

MF I love how in the early days they had an Amstrad phone in the reception to his office, probably the only one in use in the UK.

Out of interest, whenever Alan Sugar is mentioned on here, he seems to be made fun of MF's picture being an example.

So how has he accumulated such a massive amount of money - What products have succeeded?

I actually knew someone who was still using one of those around 3 years ago. It was all I could do not to laugh at it whenever I went around 😀

IIRC, without referring to Wiki etc, it was property in the 80s and 90s wasn't it?

His early computers sold a fair bit, as I recall his real money came from satellite TV boxes.

I don't doubt that a lot of them are complete numpties but equally, part of the program will be making them look arrogant/stupid just so that it is compelling (to many) TV - I guarantee that all the 'I'm the best in the world and I WILL succeed' monologues they showed early in the episode are planned/scripted and not down to the choice of the contestants, many of whom will I'm sure realise that it makes them look stupid, even if they do believe it to some extent.

Ah yes and that too...which wasn't innovative by any means, it was just buying and selling. Which he's no doubt very good at.

Probably best you refer to Wiki.

I think they had one in every series until he sold the rights to it. Then they got a normal phone.

Just watched the whole thing on iplayer. What a bunch of prize arses. There is one of them in every place I have worked. The type of person who would "touch base" and run it up the "flag pole".
