Bit of fun here.  Can you work out all the films from the font?  I've got maybe half of them so far I think.

(Source: https://www.wearedorothy.com/products/alphabet-of-sci-fi-original-open-edition - the author is selling prints)

EDIT: I believe these are all from movie posters rather than DVD (etc) covers.

Yeah, I like that. Only recognise five at the moment, though; and me an SF fan since primary school. ☺️

J is very easy, I thought.  F is tricksy because there's multiple versions of posters / DVD covers with different fonts.  I've not got N yet.

Just got I via guesswork and Googling.  That's nasty, it's from the US poster, the UK version is a totally different font.

Still missing:

N, P, Q, T, U, Y.  (And the colon, if that's relevant.  That could be anything.)

Got Q, but again it's one where there's more than one version of the poster.

Ah.  Yes, so have I now, cheers for the nudge.  It's another movie poster, yes.  (Are they all movie posters?  I think they might be.)

Yeah, they're all posters.  I had one that was almost-but-not-quite right (E), Googling for movie posters confirmed it was correct.  I've edited the OP accordingly.

P, T, U, Y outstanding.  Someone suggested Y was

Twin Peaks
based on the font but there's an obvious flaw with this idea.

What are you thinking?  You can enclose it in

I actually want both posters. Not anything I've ever said before since my (very) short term access to an LA pornstar only chat room.

Nice quiz.

I had opened the thread thinking “Asimov, Bester,  Clarke...”

F is difficult because there's several different posters.  Futuristic highly stylised sci-fi.

H is easy because there can be only one poster.

L is very age-dependent.

U I'm still missing.

Good clue for H, thank you.

L we got before our life crystals changed colour.

I see what you mean about the different posters for F it’s one of my favourite films and just looked at the British poster.

That just leaves I and U

I've got the bike map on my wall...a good trip down memory lane for all of it! This alphabet though is properly tricky, I clearly don't pay any attention to the names/poster styling...

That's helped me remember the film I've been trying to think of the name of for "U" all evening - Elysium.  However, Google would suggest that it's not that.  So that's helpful, at least I can stop trying to recall it now.

Just gone through the list and U is the only one I’ve not seen that might explain why it was the last one to get.

I've only got 14 so far. Am I right in saying there are all the first letter of the title apart from Y ?
