Those boxes tissue with balm make surprising difference, and vaseline type stuff around nostrils.
Suspect it'll settle down soon, major life changing surgery sort of sneaks up on the emotions, especially once its over and can'relax' It'll settle, honest ( ex-ITU nurse, seen this happen lots).

I cry like a baby when watching sporting-winning type stuff, medal ceremonies and the like. The Mrs thinks it's hilarious.

Embrace it, it shows you're not a heartless (ahem 😉 ) automaton.

It's it a side effect of general anaesthetic? I've been told some folkvget angry, some emotional and some get amorous. Seems I made a pass at the anaesthatist last time I was under. Just glad it was a woman!

Raise your eyebrows as high as you can whilst keeping your eyes as wide open as you can. You will look strange alright, but should make it very difficult to cry.

Wear a snorkel mask and stay away from chopped onions (and that 'Anyone heard from Ton? thread)

<good to hear you're 'kicking'>

Glue in your tear ducts should stop it.

As Northahorenil says many people after major surgery get emotional - it's well documented. Some also have a strong reaction to anaesthetic getting aggressive is quite common immediately after surgery.

We should start a STW ICU club, with cuddles, and gin, and stuff. A fat lads version should be even better, what do you think? 🙂

Crying is good. You deserve some tears, some are hard fought.

Don't know about stopping but slicing some scotch bonnet chillis and going for a pee without washing your hands first is a good way to start
