Absolutely stunning pics OP! 👏 Are they on a phone camera or a DSLR? Skilful photography either way. Though I did open the thread with some trepidation thinking it was a few months early for the annual slanging match about poppy fascism/remembrance! Phew!

Stunning photos Houns. The giant poppies in the garden have just started to open.

‘Kin ‘ell! They’re stunning, having the setting sun backlight shining through the petals makes all the difference, they absolutely glow!

Whereabouts are they? I’ve seen a few growing alongside footpaths, but I haven’t been out in the country anywhere where they’re growing in those sort of numbers.

Only certain areas are good for Heroin plantations

Most of the pix are from a site just outside of Bewdley, the other spot is near Halfpenny Green. Shall be keeping eyes peeled for other fields over next couple of weeks.

Great photos!

Fields full of poppies just aren't a thing in my neck of the woods (mid Derbyshire). Fields full of grass for silage bales - bring it on! 🙂

@Houns - a bit far north for me, really, a two hour drive from my neck of the woods. Although I am rather tempted…

Ooh not a million miles from me (Ludlow). I haven't seen fields of poppies like that round here though.

Not of the same quality as the op’s pics, but probably from around the same time. Was lovely to stumble across this on a ride
