Early? Probably but I opened a cupboard last night and found my wife had bought a pack of 6. Without looking further at the box I opened it and ate one.  It was one of the best (bought) mince pies ever!  Wonderful buttery pastry that is not too thick, and inside it was full, yes FULL, with a gorgeous tasty mince.  I checked the box  . Ahh OK... the wife had done one of the occasional waitrose orders. Waitrose 6 all butter mince pies.  I've yet to check the price but if its affordable then I reckon these are hard to beat!

Interesting - Waitrose didn't even make the Good Housekeeping top 10 this year. Iceland, Asda and DukesHill took the top 3.

Mind you, the DukesHill ones are £13 for 6. Now, I don't think good food must be cheap but bloody hell, £13?

My daughter bought some last week from Morrisons, and obviously I was forced to open the pack. They're not great if I'm honest. I will bravely try them all just in case the first couple I had were duff, an the rest improve.
