Not that anyone on here will care, but it really is a great sport.

Go Winnipeg!

What was greatest about it was the three matches a week which meant constant excuses to go to the pub after work during the week.

I almost fell asleep during the one match I attended live, but it was a Canucks match and I'd had a lot of Belgian Beer beforehand, the sound of the skates got quite hypnotic during the second period... 😳

Sabres start tonight 😆 it simply can not be as bad as last year.

My European ice hockey teams are doing well this year and I will be off to Finland at the end of January to watch a couple of games, my yearly pilgrimage.

You know what they say, any one but Boston for the Stanley Cup.

Who do you follow on the Continent, Pigface?

I wanted to like the KHL, and especially Donbass, but for some reason I've gone off the Russians right now...

Living in Cardiff, though, allows me to enjoy the Devils at least.

HV71 in Sweden, Jokipojat in Finland a team I used to watch every week, won 7-2 last night 😆 they got demoted for going bankrupt so now play in the third division. They will return to Mestis where they belong 😆

Used to follow Jokerit but they went to the KHL 😥 so now follow SaiPa but its not the same as following the Jokers. Last year went to see the last Jokerit IFK Helsinki winter classic, Jokerit lost 2-1 and then off they went to play in Russia, the Finns are not happy about it. They are doing well so far this season.

Dont follow anyone in the UK the Devils as they play in Wales but is the standard any good?

HV71 v Frölunda Indians is the big game on the 26th Dec. Got tickets for me and my boys.

Having spent all of 3 days in Philadelphia earlier this year I'm now a huge Flyers fan!

When I first moved here from Canada, I thought the UK standard was terrible, and longed to get in net myself to play. After 12 years, though, I was so starved that I went to a Devils' match, and really enjoyed it. I can't afford season tickets, but I am now happy to go whenever I can.

That said, it is still not as high a standard as elsewhere in Europe, but it's here, and I am very glad it is!
